Introducing Living Redefined: A New Partnership

23rd March 2026

At Supported Living Gateway, we are always looking for ways to bring more value to our members — whether that is through education, sharing information, or connecting you with the right people and opportunities across the specialist housing sector.

With that in mind, we are pleased to introduce Living Redefined as a new partner.

Who Are Living Redefined?

Living Redefined is an organisation focused on social housing procurement — helping housing providers across the UK source suitable properties quickly and at scale. Where Supported Living Gateway specialises in connecting individual property investors with care providers in the supported living sector, Living Redefined operates across the broader social housing landscape, working with larger housing associations, community interest companies, and local authorities to meet urgent and wide-ranging housing needs.

Their partners include some well-regarded names in the sector, including Nacro, The Housing Network, and Liberty Housing — a reflection of the trust they have built across the industry.

Acknowledging the Elephant in the Room

We would not be doing our job if we introduced a new partnership in this sector without acknowledging something honestly: supported living and social housing have had some bad press recently — and in a number of cases, that press has been deserved.

The reality is that the sector has been abused by some operators and investors. High demand, complex funding structures, and — in places — insufficient oversight have created conditions where a minority of providers have prioritised financial gain over the welfare of the vulnerable people they are supposed to be supporting. Substandard properties, poorly vetted providers, and murky commercial arrangements have all featured in recent coverage, and the damage that does to the reputation of the entire sector is real and frustrating.

For the many landlords, investors, and organisations operating in this space with genuine professionalism and care, it is deeply unfair. But rather than look away from it, we think the right response is to talk about it openly — and to be very clear about how we are choosing to operate.

How We Are Working Together — and Why It Matters

This partnership is not simply about bringing more property opportunities to our members. It is about doing that responsibly, in a way that raises the bar rather than contributing to the problems the sector has faced.

Both Supported Living Gateway and Living Redefined are built on the principle that long-term success in this space depends entirely on trust — trust between investors and providers, between providers and local authorities, and ultimately between all of us and the vulnerable people whose homes and lives are at the centre of everything we do.

At Supported Living Gateway, that means we continue to educate our members to ask the right questions, understand the legal frameworks they are working within, and conduct proper due diligence on any provider they consider working with. We have always been clear that entering this sector without the right knowledge is not just a financial risk — it can contribute to poor outcomes for residents, and that is something we take seriously.

Living Redefined brings the same commitment to their side of the relationship. Providers within their model are vetted before any property is taken on, inspections and schemes of works are required upfront, and transparency with landlords and local authority partners is built into how they operate. If something goes wrong, their response is open and immediate — not hidden.

Together, we are committed to being part of the solution to the sector's problems, not a continuation of them. The investors and landlords who come into this space through our partnership will do so with the right foundations in place.

What This Means for SLG Members

For now, this is the beginning of what we expect to be a growing relationship. As a first step, Living Redefined will be bringing a selection of investment opportunities directly to our members — properties where housing providers are actively looking for landlords to work with on longer-term lease arrangements.

We will be sharing details of those opportunities as they become available, so keep an eye on your inbox.

In the meantime, if you would like to find out more about Living Redefined ahead of that, get in touch with us at hello@supportedlivinggateway.com and we will be happy to help answer any questions.
